49ers sign wide receiver Antonio Bryant

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 13 (UPI) -- The San Francisco 49ers signed free agent wide receiver Antonio Bryant Monday.

Bryant, while playing for the Cleveland Browns, caught 69 passes in 16 games last season for 1,009 yards, setting career-highs.

In four seasons with Dallas and Cleveland, the 6-foot-2, 188-pounder out of the University of Pittsburgh, has 210 career receptions for 3,104 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Bryant is expected to replace wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, who was traded to the Washington Redskins during the weekend for a 2006 third-round and 2007 fourth-round draft pick.
