COL BKB: Pittsburgh 68, Villanova 54

NEW YORK, March 11 (UPI) -- Antonio Graves had 18 points and five rebounds Friday night as No. 16 Pittsburgh upset 2nd-ranked Villanova, 68-54.

The victory was in the semifinals of the Big East Tournament at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Levance Fields had 14 points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal; and Carl Krauser had nine points, five rebounds and six assists for the Panthers (24-6), who lost the championship game in 2004 to Connecticut.

Randy Foye had 26 points, two assists and eight rebounds; Kyle Lowry added 10 points, three assists and three rebounds; and Will Sheridan had five rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots for the Wildcats (25-4), who lost star guard Allan Ray when he was poked in the right eye 32 seconds into the second half. He had to be helped off the court with his eye covered by a physician's glove. Later, he was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for observation.
