COL BKB: LSU 92, Vanderbilt 73

NASHVILLE, March 11 (UPI) -- Glen Davis had 28 points and 13 rebounds Friday night as 17th-ranked LSU pounded Vanderbilt, 92-73, in the quarterfinals of the SEC Conference Tournament.

Vandy had a slight home-court advantage as the contest was played in Nashville.

Tasmin Mitchell added 20 points, four rebounds and four assists; Darnell Lazare totaled 16 points, five rebounds and three steals; and Garrett Temple had 14 points, four assists and two rebounds for the Tigers (23-7), who will meet 14th-ranked Florida in Saturday's semifinals.

Derrick Byars had 17 points and two assists; Shan Foster added 13 points and five rebounds; and Julian Terrell had 13 points and three rebounds for the Commodores (17-12).

LSU won the battle of the boards, 33-24 and led, 44-30, at the break. Vanderbilt committed 15 turnovers. LSU made 10.
