Browns sign Bentley, Jurevicius, Shaffer

BEREA, Ohio, March 11 (UPI) -- The Cleveland Browns started the free agency period by signing center LeCharles Bentley, left tackle Kevin Shaffer and wide receiver Joe Jurevicius.

Bentley, a four-year veteran, was one of the top free agents on the market. The 6-foot-2, 313-pounder has been selected to the Pro Bowl twice since being drafted in the second round of the 2002 draft by the New Orleans Saints -- once as a center and the other as a guard.
