NHL: Calgary 1, Dallas 0

CALGARY, Alberta, March 10 (UPI) -- Daymond Langkow scored the lone goal of the game Thursday night as Calgary blanked the Dallas Stars, 1-0.

The goal came in the first period after assists by Dion Phaneuf and Tony Amonte. Miikka Kiprusoff stopped all 39 shots he faced to record his league-leading eighth shutout of the season for the Flames (36-19-7), who have won three of their last four games and broke a six-game losing streak to Dallas.

In a tough loss, goalie Marty Turco made 23 saves for the Stars (41-19-3), whose three-game winning streak ended.

Dallas out-shot the Flames, 39-24. The two teams were a combined 0-for-11 on power play chances.
