COL BKB: Wake Forest 82, N.C. State 71

GREENSBORO, N.C., March 10 (UPI) -- Eric Williams had 20 points and seven rebounds as Wake Forest pounded No. 22 N.C. State, 82-71, in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament at Greensboro.

Justin Gray had 19 points, nine assists and five rebounds; Chris Ellis had 15 points and six rebounds; Michael Drum had 12 points, four assists and two rebounds; and Kyle Visser added six points and 10 rebounds for the Demon Deacons (17-15), who ended the regular season with a 76-63 rout of the Wolfpack last Saturday and have won three in a row after a 78-66 win over Florida State in the first round on Thursday.

Gavin Grant had a career-high 24 points, four rebounds and two assists; while Cameron Bennerman added 23 points and five rebounds for N.C. State (21-9), which has lost four in a row.

Wake Forest easily won the rebounding battle, 39-22.
