COL BKB: Oral Roberts 85, Chicago St 72

TULSA, Okla., March 7 (UPI) -- Ken Tutt scored 25 points and Larry Owens added 24 points Tuesday as Oral Roberts beat Chicago State, 85-72, to win the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament.

The victory gives the Golden Eagles their first berth in the NCAA Tournament since 1984.

Caleb Green added 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Golden Eagles (21-11), who earned just their third trip to the NCAA Tournament. They reached the Elite Eight in 1974 and went back to the event 10 years later after winning the Midwestern Collegiate Conference postseason tournament.

David Holston had 21 points for Chicago State (11-19).
