ACAPULCO, Mexico, March 4 (UPI) -- Juan Ignacio Chela and Luis Horna Friday won their semifinals matches at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel tennis event at Acapulco, Mexico.
Chela, the seventh seed from Argentina, beat qualifier Nicolas Almagro of Spain, 6-2, 6-2. The un-seeded Horna from Peru upset second-seeded Argentine Gaston Gaudio of Argentina, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Chela heads into Saturday's final seeking his fourth singles title, which includes this event in 2000 when it was played in Mexico City. Horna tries to win his first singles title, but faces a tough personal challenge as he is just 1-3 life-time against Chela.
The winner will earn $128,000.
