BUFFALO, N.Y., March 2 (UPI) -- Brad Larsen scored two goals Wednesday night to help the Atlanta Thrashers beat Buffalo, 4-2.
Vyacheslav Kozlov and Niclas Havelid each scored a goal; Marc Savard added two assists and Kari Lehtonen stopped 34 shots for the Thrashers (27-26-6), who have won three in a row and four of their last five games and broke a four-game slide against the Sabres.
Chris Drury and Maxim Afinogenov scored goals; J.P. Dumont, Daniel Briere, Derek Roy, and Thomas Vanek had assists; and Ryan Miller allowed three goals on 24 shots for the Sabres (36-16-5), who have lost two in a row and three of their last four games.
Buffalo out-shot Atlanta, 36-25. The Sabres were 2-for-6 on the power play. The Flames went 2-for-10.
