LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- With a birdie at 16 and pars on the last two holes Sunday, Rory Sabbatini won the Nissan Open at Pacific Palisade, Calif., over 2005 champion Adam Scott.

"That is probably one of the toughest days I've ever had on the golf course," said Sabbatini, who earned $918,000 for the win. "It just felt like everything I was doing was backfiring on me. I was hitting good shots, but nothing seemed to go as planned. I hit a lot of good putts out there, but looked like a terrible putter. We were just having trouble reading the greens."

Scott (64) ended at 12-under-par 272. Craig Barlow (70) finished at 11-under 273. Two-time champion Fred Couples (71), who bogeyed three of the last four holes, was alone in fourth place at 10-under-par 274.
