NBA: Memphis 84, Sacramento 78

MEMPHIS, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- The Memphis Grizzlies downed the visiting Sacramento Kings, 84-78, Wednesday night, led by Pau Gasol, who scored 24 points.

Chucky Atkins added 17 points and Eddie Jones had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Grizzlies, who won their final three games heading into the All-Star break. Shane Battier's three-pointer gave Memphis the lead for good with 4:34 remaining. Battier finished with 10 points.

For the Kings, Kevin Martin had 14 points to lead the Kings. Mike Bibby and Kenny Thomas each had 12 points. Thomas also had 12 rebounds. Francisco Garcia had 11 points, while Brad Miller and Ron Artest each scored 10 for the Kings.
