IOWA CITY, Iowa, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Greg Brunner paced a balanced attack with 15 points and 10 rebounds as 20th-ranked Iowa bested No. 16 Michigan State, 66-54, Tuesday night.
Jeff Horner also added 15 and dished out six assists for Iowa (20-6, 9-3 Big Ten), which won for the sixth time in its past seven outings and remained perfect at home. Erek Hansen chipped in with 13 points while Adam Haluska recorded 11 in the win.
Paul Davis tallied 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Spartans (18-7, 6-5), who lost their second straight game. Shannon Brown added 12 points and eight boards while Drew Neitzel had 11 in the loss.
After Brown's jumper deadlocked the game at 34-34 with just over 17 minutes remaining, the Hawkeyes slowly started to pull away.
