NHL: Pittsburgh 4, Carolina 3

RALEIGH, N.C., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- John LeClair and Sidney Crosby each had a goal and an assist as Pittsburgh handed Carolina a rare home loss, 4-3, Friday night.

Sebastien Caron made 34 saves and Mark Recchi scored for the Penguins, who snapped a seven-game overall and a nine-game road losing streak. Eric Boguniecki also scored in the win.

Carolina got two goals from Eric Staal, but it was not enough to extend its home winning streak, which ended at a franchise-long nine games.

Staal added an assist in the loss and Cory Stillman had a goal and an assist. Cam Ward finished with 22 saves.
