ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Joe Sakic's third period goal propelled Colorado to a 2-1 win over Minnesota Thursday night.

Brad Richardson also scored for the Avalanche and David Aebischer made 33 saves.

Todd White scored and Manny Fernandez made 25 saves for the Wild, who had a three-game winning streak stopped.

The Wild had tied the game up halfway through the third period but Sakic put the Avalanche ahead for good.
