NHL: New Jersey 3, Boston 2 (OT)

BOSTON, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Brian Gionta scored his second goal of the game 2:10 into overtime Thursday night as New Jersey beat the Boson Bruins, in overtime, 3-2.

Patrik Elias scored the Devils' other goal; Scott Gomez, Brian Rafalski, Sergei Brylin and Tommy Albelin had assists; and goaltender Martin Brodeur made 37 saves for the Devils (30-21-6), who broke a three-game road losing streak with their second straight win overall.

Glen Murray and Wayne Primeau scored goals; Brad Boyes, Patrice Bergeron, Brian Leetch and David Tanabe had assists; and goalie Tim Thomas made 31 saves for the Bruins (23-23-10), who have lost three of their last four games.

Boston out-shot New Jersey, 39-34. Neither team scored on a total of five power play chances.
