NHL: Detroit 3, St. Louis 2

DETROIT, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Henrik Zetterberg scored the game-winning goal Wednesday night as Detroit beat the St. Louis Blues, 3-2.

Zetterberg added an assist; Brendan Shanahan scored a goal; Niklas Kronvall had two assists and goalie Manny Legace made 29 saves for the Red Wings (35-13-5). Detroit has won three of its last four games.

Keith Tkachuk and Lee Stempniak scored goals; Dean McAmmond, Scott Young, Petr Cajanek, and Vladimir Orszagh had assists; and goaltender Curtis Sanford was able to make 35 stops for St. Louis (12-31-8), which lost for the 12th time in its last 14 games.

Detroit out-shot St. Louis, 38-31. The Red Wings went scoreless on two power play chances while the Blues were 0-for-8.
