Ljubicic rolls on at Zagreb

ZAGREB, Croatia, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Ivan Ljubicic, the top seed, beat Kenneth Carlsen 7-6 (7-5), 6-4, Thursday in the second round of the PBZ Zagreb Indoors tennis tournament in Croatia.

Also, four seeds were beaten.

No. 4 Radek Stepanek lost to Novak Djokovic, 6-3, 6-4; fifth-seeded Mario Ancic was ousted by the 6-foot, 10-inch and big server Ivo Karlovic, 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-4); Mikhail Youzhny beat sixth-seeded Jarkko Nieminen, 2-6, 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (7-0); qualifier Ilia Bozoljac knocked off No. 8 Feliciano Lopez, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2; while Andreas Seppi topped Marin Cilic, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.

On Friday in the quarterfinals, Djokovic meets Bozoljac, Seppi goes against Tim Henman and Karlovic faces Stefan Koubek. The Djokovic-Bozoljac match will be the first all-Serbian quarterfinal on the ATP Tour.
