MADISON, Wis., Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Ben Woodside had 24 points and four rebounds Saturday as North Dakota State stunned 13th-ranked Wisconsin, 62-55.
Andre Smith added 16 points and 13 rebounds; Mike Nelson had seven points and four rebounds; and Brent Winkelman had four points, 12 rebounds and four assists for the unheralded Bison (10-8). The winners ended Wisconsin's 27-game home-court winning streak against non-Big Ten opponents.
Kammron Taylor had 19 points and three rebounds, and both Alando Tucker and Joe Krabbenhoft had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Badgers (14-4).
Wisconsin made only four of its 27 three-point shots and was out-rebounded, 43-36. North Dakota State committed 22 turnovers but was able to pull off the upset after the Badgers shot a paltry 22 percent from the floor.
