NHL: Los Angeles 8, Atlanta 6

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Luc Robitaille became Los Angeles' all-time scoring leader as he paced the Kings to an 8-6 win over Atlanta Thursday night.

Robitaille finished with a three-goal hat trick, but it was his breakaway goal in the third period that vaulted him into the Kings' No. 1 top spot.

Robitaille now has 552 goals as a King, two more than longtime great Marcel Dionne, whose last season with the Kings in 1986-87 was also Robitaille's first with the club.

Mattias Norstrom had a goal and four assists, while Jeff Giuliano scored twice for the Kings, who halted a two-game skid. Tom Kostopoulos and Dustin Brown also scored, while Jason LaBarbera posted 33 saves in the victory.

Marian Hossa recorded two goals and Ilya Kovalchuk, Vyacheslav Kozlov, Patrik Stefan and Eric Boulton also scored for the Thrashers, who saw their five-game winning streak halted.
