MEMPHIS, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Mike Miller compiled 18 points and 16 rebounds Friday night as Memphis beat New Jersey, 81-69.
Bobby Jackson had 17 points and eight rebounds; Eddie Jones had 12 points, six rebounds and four assists; and Shane Battier added 11 points, five rebounds and three assists for the Grizzlies (23-11), who have won seven of their last eight and nine of their last 11 games.

Vince Carter registered 14 points, three rebounds and four assists; Jason Kidd added 10 points and 11 rebounds; and Marc Jackson had 10 points and two rebounds for the Nets (19-14), who have lost two in a row and five straight against Memphis.
The Grizzlies won the battle of the boards, 49-36.
