NHL: Anaheim 6, Los Angeles 2

ANAHEIM, Calif., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- A hat trick by Jonathan Hedstrom helped lead the Anaheim Mighty Ducks past the visiting Los Angeles Kings, 6-2, on Monday.

Ryan Getzlaf, Andy McDonald and Chris Kunitz also scored while Joffrey Lupul registered three assists for Anaheim. Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 41 saves in the win.

Craig Conroy and Lubomir Visnovsky both scored for the Kings, who have dropped two in a row since winning three straight. Goaltender Mathieu Garon made 21 saves on 27 opportunities.

The loss dropped the Kings into second place in the Pacific Division behind Dallas.
