PITTSBURGH, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Ronald Ramon sank a three-pointer with 15 seconds left in the second overtime Wednesday night as 20th-ranked Pittsburgh edged Notre Dame, 100-97.
Aaron Gray recorded 25 points and 11 rebounds, Carl Krauser added 21 points, four rebounds and six assists while Sam Young had 15 points and 12 rebounds off the bench for the Panthers (12-0,1-0 Big East), who went 30-for-46 from the free throw line to remain undefeated.
Chris Quinn scored 37 points, six rebounds and nine assists, Russell Carter added 16 points and six rebounds, and Luke Zeller had 11 points and five boards for Notre Dame ((9-3, 0-1 Big East).
Pittsburgh, which outscored the Irish by 7-4 in the second extra session, won the battle of the boards by a 51-43 margin.
