NHL: Anaheim 4, Nashville 2

NASHVILLE, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Joffrey Lupul scored two goals Sunday night as Anaheim beat the Nashville Predators, 4-2.

Scott Niedermayer and Jonathan Hedstrom also scored goals; both Teemu Selanne and Todd Marchant had two assists; and Ilja Bryzgalov made 21 saves for the Mighty Ducks (18-15-6), who have won three of their last four games.

Greg Johnson and Yanic Perreault each had a goal for Nashville. Scottie Upshall, Kimmo Timonen, Martin Erat and Danny Markov had assists and Tomas Vokoun made 32 saves for the Predators (24-10-3), who have lost three straight following a six-game winning streak.

Anaheim out-shot the Predators, 36-23. The Mighty Ducks went 1-for-8 on the power play while Nashville was 0-for-4.
