NHL: Toronto 2, Boston 1

TORONTO, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Bryan McCabe scored the game-winning goal and logged an assist, as the Toronto Maple Leafs edged the Boston Bruins 2-1 at the Air Canada Center.

Darcy Tucker netted the other goal and Tomas Kaberle recorded two assists for Toronto, which has won two of its last three contests. Goaltender Ed Belfour stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced.

Sergei Samsonov scored the lone goal for the Bruins, who have dropped two of their last three. Brian Leetch and Patrice Bergeron both assisted on the goal, while Hannu Toivonen made 26 saves.
