NHL: Minnesota 5, Colorado 3

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Todd White scored the go-ahead goal with 5:12 left to play Friday night as Minnesota beat the Colorado Avalanche, 5-3.

Marian Gaborik and Marc Chouinard each had a goal and an assist, Pascal Dupuis, Andrei Zyuzin, Marian Gaborik, and Brian Rolston each assisted once while goalie Manny Fernandez made 20 saves for the Wild (15-16-4), which avenged a 4-3 loss at Colorado on Thursday night.

Antti Laaksonen recorded one goal and one assist, Pierre Turgeon registered two assists, and goaltender Peter Budaj stopped five of the 24 shots he faced for Colorado (18-15-3), which suffered the fifth setback in its last seven games.

Minnesota had a slight 24-23 edge in shots on goal. Colorado was 0-for-3 on the power play while Minnesota was 1-for-5.
