NHL: Edmonton 5, Los Angeles 3

EDMONTON, Alberta, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Ales Hemsky broke a tie in the third period to lead the Edmonton Oilers over the visiting Los Angeles Kings, 5-3, at Rexall Place.

Jarret Stoll and Chris Pronger each had a goal and an assist and Shawn Horcoff added three assists for the Oilers, who are on a season-high five-game winning streak. Ty Conklin made 26 saves in the victory.

Mattias Norstrom, Mike Cammalleri and Craig Conroy scored for the Kings, who had a four-game winning streak snapped. Mathieu Garon made 28 saves in the loss.

Los Angeles had a 3-2 advantage heading into the final 20 minutes, but Edmonton scored three goals in the third period to get the victory.
