Brandon Cotton scored a game-high 17 points and Torvoris Baker had six points, 11 rebounds and three steals for the Titans (6-7), who have dropped their last two outings.

"We were our own worst enemies at times," said Detroit Coach Perry Watson. "We didn't get much production out of our front line and that kind of hurt us. We do need those guys to produce."

Louisville, which out-rebounded the Titans, 29-27, led 34-23 at halftime. Detroit made 16 turnovers while the Cardinals had 11.

Louisville leads the all-time series between the schools, 6-2.
