LEXINGTON, Ky., Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Rajon Rondo scored 25 points and dished out seven assists, leading 22nd-ranked Kentucky to a 73-61 win over No. 4 Louisville Saturday.
Sheray Thomas had 11 points and Joe Crawford added nine for the Wildcats (7-3), who have won five of their last seven games. The Wildcats jumped out to a 13-3 lead early in the game and survived a second half Louisville rally.
Juan Palacios led Louisville (6-1) with 15 points, while Taquan Dean chipped in 14.
Kentucky holds a 25-12 lead over Louisville in the all-time series, including a 60-58 triumph over the Cardinals a year ago.
