NHL: Detroit 3, Pittsburgh 1

DETROIT, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Henrik Zetterberg scored a pair of goals for a second straight game Monday to lead the Detroit Red Wings to a 3-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Nicklas Lidstrom added a goal and an assist for Detroit, which has won three in a row.

Detroit goaltender Chris Osgood needed only 16 saves.

Mark Recchi scored the lone goal for the Penguins, who have lost seven of their last eight games. Sidney Crosby and Ryan Malone were both credited with assists, while Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 36 of the 39 shots he faced.
