Dallas Stars get Hagman from Florida

FRISCO, Texas, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- The Dallas Stars got left wing Niklas Hagman from the Florida Panthers on Monday for a seventh-round pick in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Hagman, a 6-foot, 205-pounder, appeared in 30 games with Florida this year and had six points (two goals, four assists) while averaging 13:59 of ice time.

A 26-year old Espoo, Finland native, Hagman is the fifth Finnish player on the Stars roster, joining Jussi Jokinen, Niko Kapanen, Jere Lehtinen and Antti Miettinen.

Hagman, a third round choice in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, has appeared in 263 career NHL games with 30 goals and 50 assists. His rookie season was his most productive when he scored 28 points in 78 games.
