COL BKB: Florida 88, Bethune-Cookman 58

GAINESVILLE, Fla., Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Al Horford went 8-for-8 from the field and scored 17 points Friday night as No. 8 Florida trounced Bethune-Cookman, 88-58.

In his best overall game for the Gators, Horford also had seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals; Lee Humphrey had 13 points and four assists; Joakim Noah added 12 points; and Walter Hodge connected on three of his four three-point attempts. Florida (9-0) is one win shy of matching the 1951-52 team for the best start in school history.

Antonio Webb scored a game-high 19 points; Michael Williams had 18 points, six rebounds and five steals; and Cleveland Williams added eight points for the Wildcats (3-5), who have yet to win a road game this season. All of their road losses have been by double digits.

Florida out-rebounded the Wildcats, 33-17, and enjoyed a healthy 48-26 lead at halftime.
