NHL: Calgary 4, New Jersey 1

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Jarome Iginla rang up two goals and one assist Wednesday night to lead the Calgary Flames over the New Jersey Devils, 4-1.

Daymond Langkow also recorded a goal and an assist, Dion Phaneuf scored once, and goalie Philippe Sauve made 31 saves for Calgary (17-9-4), which had suffered two shutout losses in its previous four outings.

Alexander Mogilny netted the only goal, Jamie Langenbrunner tallied his 11th assist, Sergei Brylin added an assist, and goaltender Martin Brodeur, who faced only 15 shots, allowed four goals as New Jersey (13-12-2) lost for the third time in its last four games and had its four-game home winning streak broken.

The Devils out-shot the Flames 13-2 in the first period and 10-2 in the third. New Jersey was only 1-for-10 on the power play while the Flames went 3-for-4.
