NHL: Phoenix 5, Atlanta 2

GLENDALE, Ariz., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Mike Johnson had two goals and an assist Monday to lead the Phoenix Coyotes to a 5-2 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers.

Mike Comrie had a goal and two assists and Paul Mara and Boyd Deveraux each had a goal for the Coyotes, who have won their last two games. Curtis Joseph made 27 saves in the victory.

Marian Hossa and Vyacheslav Kozlov scored goals for the Thrashers, who have lost four straight for the second time this season. Michael Garnett made 26 saves in the loss.

The Coyotes were trailing 2-1 going into the third period, but scored three goals by 3:54.
