COL BKB: Louisville 53, Richmond 45

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Taquan Dean scored 30 points, 21 on seven three-pointers, as fifth-ranked Louisville posted a 53-45 victory Monday over Richmond in the Colonial Classic.

Terrence Williams was the second highest-scoring Cardinal with just seven points, as Louisville (4-0) shot just 39 percent from the floor.

Kevin Steenberge led Richmond (4-3) with 15 points and Jermaine Bucknor added 10 points in the loss.

Louisville didn't take its first lead until 7:30 left in the second half when Dean made another of his three-pointers.
