NHL: Boston 5, Edmonton 4

EDMONTON, Alberta, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- David Tanabe scored with 30 seconds left in overtime to lead the Boston Bruins to a 5-4 victory over the home-ice Edmonton Oilers.

Brad Boyes had two goals and an assist, and Tanabe and Patrice Bergeron each had a goal and an assist for the Bruins. Hannu Toivonen made 36 saves in the victory.

It was Tanabe's first goal and first as a member of the Bruins. He was traded from Phoenix two weeks ago.

Fernando Pisani had two goals and an assist and Todd Harvey and Ryan Smyth each scored for the Oilers, who have lost two of their last three games. Jussi Markkanen made 21 saves in the defeat.
