NHL: Nashville 2, Minnesota 1

NASHVILLE, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Jerred Smithson broke a tie in the second period with his first NHL goal Thursday as the Nashville Predators posted a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild.

Adam Hall also scored and Greg Zanon had an assist in his first NHL contest for the Predators, who have won four of their last five contests. Nashville improved to 12-2 at home this season, and is 10

Kurtis Foster scored the lone goal for the Wild, who have lost six of their last eight games. Dwayne Roloson made 44 saves for Minnesota, which is winless in its last six trips to Nashville.
