NHL: Philadelphia 2, New Jersey 1

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Patrick Sharp had the deciding goal in the second period and Robert Esche made 30 saves Wednesday as the Philadelphia Flyers beat the New Jersey Devils, 2-1.

Mike Knuble had his 12th goal of the season and Ben Eager picked up his first NHL point in his first game for the Flyers, who have won three of their last four games.

Thomas Pihlman scored the Devils' only goal. Martin Brodeur stopped 31 of the 33 shots he faced for New Jersey, which had its three-game winning streak halted.
