NHL: NY Islanders 4, Philadelphia 2

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Jason Blake posted his third career hat trick Saturday to lead the New York Islanders to a 4-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Brad Lukowich also scored and Mark Parrish had three assists for the Islanders, who halted a two-game losing streak and won for the fifth time in their last eight games.

New York goalkeeper Garth Snow stopped 34 of the 36 shots he faced.

R.J. Umberger scored twice for the Flyers, who have lost two of their last three games and five of their last seven. Philadelphia got 17 saves from goaltender Antero Niittymaki.

The Flyers did not have star center Peter Forsberg, who was scratched with a groin injury sustained in Saturday's win over Boston.
