NBA: Phoenix 100, Houston 88

HOUSTON, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Shawn Marion compiled 19 points and 12 rebounds Wednesday night as Phoenix beat the Houston Rockets, 100-88.

James Jones also had 19 points, Steve Nash totaled 15 points and 14 assists while Boris Diaw had 17 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Suns (6-5), who were 14-of-27 from three-point range and placed six players in double figures.

Derek Anderson collected 23 points and nine rebounds for the Rockets (3-9), who have lost five in a row overall. All-star guard Tracy McGrady missed his third straight game because of a strained back. Houston sank to 0-6 without McGrady in the lineup this season.

Rookie Luther Head, starting in place of McGrady for a second straight night, had 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Houston edged Phoenix in the rebounding battle, 50-44.
