Larry Johnson among top AFC Players

NEW YORK, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson is the AFC offensive Player of the Week for Week 11.

Sunday night, Johnson, a first-round draft pick by the Chiefs in 2003, gained 211 yards on a career-high 36 rushing attempts in a 45-17 rout of Houston. He is the Chiefs' No. 1 running back because of season-ending head and neck injuries to Priest Holmes, and broke Barry Word's single-game record of 200 yards set Oct. 14, 1990 at Detroit.
