NHL: Los Angeles 4, Colorado 3

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Pavol Demitra recorded his fourth career hat trick and got the winning goal to lead the Los Angeles Kings past the visiting Colorado Avalanche, 4-3.

Sean Avery scored a goal and Alexander Frolov had two assists for Los Angeles, while netminder Mathieu Garon made 34 saves for the Kings.

Demitra's hat trick was his first since November 2002. He also notched the 49th game-winning goal of his career.

Pierre Turgeon had two goals and an assist, Alex Tanguay also scored and David Aebischer stopped 21 of 25 shots for the Avalanche.
