NHL: Philadelphia 6, Pittsburgh 3

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Simon Gagne scored two goals Saturday to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 6-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Mike Richards, Michal Handzus and Mike Knuble each had a goal and an assist and Jeff Carter scored the go-ahead goal in the third period for the Flyers, who snapped a three-game losing skid. Antero Niittymaki had 27 saves.

Sidney Crosby, Ziggy Palffy and Erik Christensen all scored for the Penguins, who have lost three of their last four games. Palffy also had an assist, his 15th of the year, and Jocelyn Thibault allowed five goals on 28 shots in the loss.

The Flyers held a one-goal lead three times in the game.
