NHL: Pittsburgh 3, Philadelphia 2 (OT)

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Sidney Crosby scored the game-winning goal in the final minute of overtime Wednesday night as the Pittsburgh Penguins edged the Philadelphia Flyers, 3-2.

Crosby had two goals and an assist. Ziggy Palffy, Erik Christensen, John LeClair and Ryan Malone all had one assist apiece, and goalie Marc-Andre Fleury made 45 saves for Pittsburgh (6-8-6), which snapped a two-game skid.

Starting goaltender Jocelyn Thibault sustained an undisclosed injury during pre-game warm-ups and was taken to a Philadelphia-area hospital.

Joni Pitkanen scored two goals, Peter Forsberg had two assists and goalie Antero Niittymaki made 26 saves for the Flyers (11-4-2), who have dropped two in a row for the first time this season.

The Penguins went 1-for-7 on the power play while the Flyers were 2-for-7. Philadelphia won the shots on goal battle by a wide, 47-29 margin.
