CHESTNUT HILL, Mass., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Matt Ryan threw for 185 yards and one touchdown Saturday night as No. 25 Boston College beat North Carolina State, 30-10.
Ryan, who was 8-of-16 passing with one interception, also rushed for two scores, L.V. Whitworth ran for 119 yards on 26 attempts and one touchdown while Will Blackmon added three catches for 151 yards for the Eagles (7-4, 4-3 ACC). The Boston College defense held the Wolfpack to 59 yards on 40 rushing attempts.
Marcus Stone went 13-of-30 passing for 247 yards and one touchdown, which was a 96-yarder to Brian Clark in the first quarter, when N.C. State (4-5, 3-5 ACC) forged a 10-0 advantage.
T.J. Williams made five catches for 68 yards and Tramain Hall added four receptions for 65 yards.
It was the firt meeting between the two school since 1937.
