COL FB: Auburn 31, Georgia 30

ATHENS, Ga., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- John Vaughn kicked a 20-yard field goal with six seconds remaining Saturday night as No. 17 Auburn beat 9th-ranked Georgia, 31-30.

Brandon Coutu had booted a 41-yard field goal with 3:25 left to give the Bulldogs a 30-28 lead.

Brandon Cox went 16-of-28 passing for 279 yards, no touchdowns and one interception while Kenny Irons had 37 attempts for 179 yards and two scores and Aromashodu made four catches for 135 yards for Auburn (8-2, 6-1 SEC), which has won its last three games.

D.J. Shockley, who returned from a knee injury, was 20-of-36 passing for 304 yards and two scores; Leonard Pope caught eight passes for 102 yards and one touchdown; and Mohamed Massaquoi had six receptions for 108 yards and a score for the Bulldogs (7-2, 5-2 SEC). Georgia has dropped two in a row after starting the season with seven straight victories.
