Newble to miss another 4-6 weeks

CLEVELAND, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Forward Ira Newble of the Cleveland Cavaliers will be sidelined another 4-6 weeks because of painful plantar fasciitis (heel) in his right foot.

He has been on the inactive list all season after being hurt during training camp.

The 6-foot-7 inch Newble, formerly a free agent out of Miami of Ohio, was diagnosed Friday morning by Dr. Edward Snell at the Southwest Ambulatory Surgical Center in Pittsburgh. Snell is the team physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates, who performed a shockwave treatment to the heel.

Newble, 30, played in 74 games for the Cavaliers last season, averaging 5.9 points, three rebounds and just over one assist per game, and scoring in double figures 15 times.
