NHL: Montreal 5, Florida 4 (OT)

MONTREAL, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Steve Begin scored with 8.2 seconds left in regulation and Michael Ryder added the game-winner 3:19 into overtime Tuesday as Montreal beat Florida, 5-4.

Craig Rivet, Richard Zednik and Francis Bouillon also scored for the Canadiens, who have won consecutive games. Saku Koivu added three assists while Jose Theodore had 26 saves in the win.

Stephen Weiss had a pair of goals and Martin Gelinas and Nathan Horton also scored for the Panthers, who have dropped three straight games.

Roberto Luongo made 33 saves in the loss.
