NHL: ATlanta 6, Tampa Bay 4

TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Jaroslav Modry scored twice on the power play for Atlanta Tuesday as the Thrashers posted a 6-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Ilya Kovalchuk had a goal and three assists and Peter Bondra and Vyacheslav Kozlov each added a goal and two assists for Atlanta, which ended a three-game losing streak.

Steve Shields made 29 saves for the Thrashers, who converted on all four of their power play chances.

Brad Richards scored two goals for the Lightning, who had a three-game win streak broken. Vaclav Prospal had a goal and an assist, and John Grahame stopped 23-of-28 shots.
