NFL: New England 21, Buffalo 16

FOXBORO, Mass., Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Corey Dillon rushed for two scores Sunday night as New England beat the Buffalo Bills, 21-16.

Quarterback Tom Brady went 14-of-21 passing for 199 yards, David Givens had seven catches for 58 yards, and Deion Branch added three receptions for 92 yards and one touchdown for the Patriots, who improved to 4-3. They have won two of their last three games to maintain sole possession of first place in the AFC East.

The game marked the return of veteran linebacker Tedy Bruschi, who had not played in nearly 8 1/2 months after a stroke and subsequent heart surgery.

Willis McGahee rushed 31 times for 136 yards and Kelly Holcomb went 20-of-33 passes for 263 yards, one touchdown and one interception for Buffalo (3-5), which has lost two straight.

Wide receiver Eric Moulds had nine receptions for 125 yards. New England has won nine of its last ten games against the Bills.
