SOC: Los Angeles 4, San Jose 2

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- The San Jose Earthquakes were eliminated from the MLS playoffs Saturday night after 4-2 aggregate loss to Los Angeles.

In regulation, the two teams battled to a 1-1 draw, but the Galaxy advanced to the Western Division Finals, where they will play Colorado next Saturday. Kevin Hartman made six saves for Los Angeles. It was the third consecutive weekend the clubs played each other. They also met up in the regular-season finale.

Former San Jose team member Landon Donovan has two goals and an assist for Los Angeles this post-season. He had the helper in this contest.

The Earthquakes had the best record in the league in the regular season.
